Ultimate Seller Process™
Step 4: Under Contract: Prepare to Close

When all of the dates and deadlines (with the exception of the closing date) have passed it means that we are preparing for the final step in selling your home. This is the time to start packing up personal items, schedule cancellation of utilities and verify closing details.

Here’s what happens next. . .

Now that all the dates & deadlines have passed, we are preparing for Closing Day. During this time you will receive a settlement statement for you to review. This settlement statement will come via email, either directly from the title company, or forwarded from my team. After review, please note any adjustments that need to be made so we can contact title of these corrections. Once approved that we are ready to close, please be sure that you have confirmed final details with both the title company and our team. For example, what type of identification is necessary to bring to closing, and confirm your preferred closing method. If receiving a wire, confirm wiring instructions and for your protection, review the document below- Wire Fraud, Best Practices.

3 Things We Need Your Participation With

  1. Review your seller settlement statement, and notify us if there are changes needed.
  2. Confirm closing details: date/time/location, how you will close, how you will receive/pay funds. See PDF below.
  3. Prepare the home for the buyers, see PDF below.
