My Morning Routine

I thought it'd be fun to share how I start my day in Crested Butte

Have you ever read The Miracle Morning? If not, it's a really short read and there's now many off-shoots like Miracle Morning for Millionaires, Miracle Morning for Realtors, etc. I would suggest you just read the original and see how those ideas fit for you.

My morning routine is not perfect but it works for me.

There are 6 parts to my morning routine:

  1. I wake up around 5am or 6am.
  2. I drink water immediately because you’re dehydrated when you first wake up.
  3. I drink coffee (so, I also dehydrate).
  4. I listen to a podcast while using LED light therapy.
  5. I walk the dog.
  6. I exercise with high BPM (beats per minute) music.

Don't be afraid to change it up

I’d also like to note that this is not a strict routine. I remember listening to a Tim Ferris podcast and he shared that his morning routine is not the same every day. When I heard that, it was like being given permission to change how I start my day and how strict I am with myself. I definitely have variations and actually my morning routine say that my Thursdays are different than my Mondays.
