Step One. Working Together & Listing Your Home

Congratulations on deciding to list your home for sale and choosing our team to represent you through the process. This next step is an important piece of your seller journey. This is where our team will gather even more information about your home, arrange photography and videography, and provide you with valuable resources to get your home show ready and active on the market for potential buyers.

Here's what happens next. . .

Now that we have made the decision to work together, this kickstarts a series of events. Regardless if you buy and sell homes often, or its been awhile; we are here to help. There are constant changes in real estate from a national, state and local level. The state of California frequently updates their forms/contracts and San Diego is constantly adjusting local laws and requirements.

There are also recent national changes that take effect on August 17, 2024 to comply with the settlement agreement that involved the National Association of REALTORS®. As your real estate team we spend a lot of time keeping current, learning how to adjust and ensure we can protect and serve you at the level you deserve.

We created the San Diego Seller Process as it’s always my goal to help up-level a client experience. Not just your experience with my team and I, but your experience with real estate professionals in general. Part of that is ensuring that you feel comfortable and well-informed, so we work hard to ensure you always know what happens next.  Every time you move to the next phase of your seller process, you will receive an email alert along with key details and a link to additional resources. The additional resources are located on our What Happens Next webpages and offer additional context and documents for those that prefer details.  While my team is currently working behind the scenes to prepare a few items for your review, you can take a sneak peek below at what may require your future participation.

(PS: while there are a lot of important details that happen during the listing process, we also like to have a little fun along the way.)

Below is a list of items that will occur during this phase and we will email you updates accordingly:

  1. My team & I may be preparing additional information on how to price & position your property for sale
  2. Once listing details & price are determined: sign listing contract & associated docs
  3. Complete the Details about Your Home Form so we have accurate listing & showing data
  4. Prepare property & coordinate time for Professional Photography & Videography
  5. Key updates in regards to the listing & marketing process
