Using a local Gunnison Valley Lender vs. Online National Lender
The pros of using a Gunnison Valley local lendor.
Hey everyone, Heather Connor here with Black Diamond Resort Group, brokered through exp realty. Today, I am going to cover what are some of the pros and cons of using a local lender versus a national internet lender. Now today I actually only have pros and not any cons for using a local lender.
Being able to get a quick response in Crested Butte.
Number one, if you cannot get ahold of your lender after calling and calling, I like that I can drive to their office and get a hold of them. It’s really helpful and less frustrating than calling or emailing and not being able to get a response.
Positive lendor experiences in Gunnison and Crested Butte.
Number two, if this is a local lender that you’re working with and something does happen along the way that is not handled correctly, then, of course, I will know and then from there because Crested Butte and Gunnison is a small community and because it’s a small town, word will get around on whether this lender can get the job done and over time they either will gain less or more work based upon how they perform. I find that this is really important as this ensures that we’re only going to connect you with local lenders that are great at their job and can perform for you when it’s important.
Familiarity with local Gunnison Valley properties.
Number three, who you use for a lender back home or a national internet lender will not be familiar with local properties, HOAs, and potential hiccups until it is possibly too late in the loan process. I’m often nervous as there are specific things to be aware of on certain locations here in a resort community such as Crested Butte. As well, some lenders are not familiar with the types of properties we have here, such as condotels or residential that is connected to a commercial space. So because of the above three reasons, I always recommend at least a second opinion from one of our local lenders here in the Gunnison and Crested Butte area.
