[Daily with Heather] What is Your Life Trajectory

I think it’s fair to say that the habits that got you here won’t get you where you want to be next.

Change your habits, change your trajectory. Get out of that rut.  Get uncomfortable. It’s normal to go back to what you always do.  It’s easy.  It’s comfortable.  But it won’t get you where you want to be next.

Personally, I like to start with what is a habit that I would like to start.  What do I KNOW that if I started consistent activity on this one item, it would benefit me.  That it would naturally be a catalyst for change.

Then here’s the next thing.  What is something you need to eliminate?  My previous coach at Strategic Coach, Dan Sullivan used to say.  Multiplication through Subtraction.

But what the heck does this mean?

Sometimes the easiest way to create growth in your life is by removing something.  Think about what you spent time on during the day, the week, the month. What is something that you do, but you know it does not help move your life forward?

For me, I have a process I go through to discover what is important for me to do and what is important for me to eliminate. It is called an Inventory of your Activities. It’s super simple and quickly identifies these items. Today, think about one habit you should add and one item you should remove.

If you are stuck on what these could be, we’ll talk about the Inventory List and how to utilize it.  It’s simple, anyone can do it within a few moments, and it will clearly show you in black and white how to prioritize what you put energy into.

I hope this was helpful and I would love if you shared what your one habit is that you are going to add and one item in your life you are going to subtract.

I hope you’re having a beautiful Monday and look forward to connecting tomorrow.
